
Airport managers are responsible for ensuring that the airport is safe for operations. In this role, the manager
- regularly inspects the airport and reports any discrepancies through the NOTAM process
- repairs any deficiencies in a reasonable amount of time and removes NOTAMs once the condition has been corrected
- controls access to the aircraft operating areas (AOA)
- ensures that vehicle operators needing access to the AOA are either trained on driving in the AOA or have an escort
- maintains airport lighting, mows, plows snow, monitors fuel systems, and assumes other duties as needed.
